Hello, is anybody out there?

Social media has always had a component of illusion involved. People tended to post their happy moments and seldom let you see the reality of every day in between. This didn’t bother me though because I still relied on phone calls and seeing others in person to see how they were in between. I enjoyed being able to stay up to date, enjoy others experiences, laugh with them and celebrate with them. If someone did let you see their vulnerability and ask someone for help or just make a nonverbal cry through their body language alone, more times than not someone would respond. The question I have now is if people are really getting those responses now.

A post came up on a certain social media site where a woman was begging people to share her post because they hadn’t had any sales in 6 months. Was that real? Was it a hook? I find it hard to believe that I had to ask myself that. I leaned towards real but it is a bit unnerving to have to ask. I’m planning on trying to be very clear in my posts and I pray things improve for that woman and her husband.

As far as whether I still believe in calling and seeing people in person, absolutely. Also, I suggest not taking it personally if people don’t give you a like or comment. Make sure you are getting your validation offline or from the one that you are always online with. Here I refer to the Lord.

It can feel like there are people out there that don’t realize that there are people hurting out there. Stay encouraged and know that there are people who see and are praying for you. I ask that you pray for me and my family also.

Peace and the grace of our Lord be onto you. 🙏
