Help, Hope and Edification

Have you heard of the sport that combines Soccer (Football) and Golf. It’s called FootGolf and you might want to check it out as well during the World Cup.

It is played on a golf course along with golf in some cases. You tee off at the start then you kick a soccer ball from hole to hole into holes similar to golf but big enough for a soccer ball. There are nine different holes.

There is a suggested dress code that includes wearing a polo golf shirt or sports jersey with a collar, a baseball golf style cap, shorts, turf shoes like tennis shoes (no cleats or traction shoes) and socks (soccer socks maybe a good upgrade for extra protection while playing). The above information was provided at the website for one of the courses. Be sure to check with the course that you plan to visit for their dress code and other details. It is better to be prepared so you aren’t caught by surprise. Though this dress code is typical, some footgolf courses may allow you to wear t-shirts or collarless jerseys.

In the US, you can find locations to play the sport and other information at footgolfusa.com. If you are outside the USA, I am sure you will be glad to know that there are facilities in other countries.

Happy FootGolfing !!
