Keep Looking Up

This is to add to the “Looking Up” post. When you are being or feeling oppressed, put down or bullied, remember to keep your eyes on the only one greater than you. Remember the examples of how you would conduct yourself to be truly great. Examples that I wanted to add would be the Lion King and the lessons Simba was taught as he grew up in preparation to be King. Also remember the words of God with us, our Christ in Matthew 20:25-26

But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. ” Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.”

Remember to have a servant spirit in whatever you do. Do it for the good of others and in service to God. Help draw out the potential of others. Provide edification, lift them up and rise yourself. Finally, if you don’t tie your worth to what other people think of you, they cannot take it from you.
